The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) released a series of statements on there Twitter handle. The liberation movement lambasted the pseudo president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) for using militias to attack an ONLF office.

The liberation movement (ONLF) went further by accusing the pseudo president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) of compromising and even breaking the peace agreement between the ONLF and Ethiopia signed in late 2028.

The accusations against Mustafa Omar arose after local militias besieged an ONLF office earlier today in the town of Buundada in Qorahay province. The militias reportedly attempted to raid the ONLF office and take down the flag.

However dozens of residents in the town sprung into action and prevented the militia attack as scores of residents rushed to the office, which prevented the ONLF office from falling into the hands of the local militias. An excerpt from the official ONLF twitter page is pictured below.

The ONLF went further and accused the pseudo president Mustafa Omar of politicizing the flag of the liberation movement (ONLF) and attempting to re-ignite war in the Ogaden.

As pictured below, the ONLF also said Mustafa Omar’s aggression against the liberation movement (ONLF) is caused by the lack of grassroots support the regime in Jigjiga has in the Ogaden which has Mustafa targeting his opponents, in this case the ONLF.

The tension between both camps (ONLF & Mustafa) has been on the rise in recent months. However it seems as the friction hit its climax today. The ONLF directly accused President Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) of violating the peace agreement the ONLF signed with Ethiopia in late 2018 by violently targeting the liberation movement (ONLF).

However it didn’t end there. The ONLF requested that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reign in Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) and local authorities in Jigjiga. An excerpt of the statement is pictured below.
