Fierce clashes erupted mid afternoon near the Somali border town of Tuliguuleed. Local contacts based in Tuliguuleed reveal heavily armed Oromo Militants launched a brazen assault on the nearby village of Uswayne, situated outside the strategic Somali border town of Tuliguuleed.
Locals that spoke on condition of anonymity have informed the Halgan Media service desk the clashes where sparked when Oromo Militants launched an assault on the village of Uswayne indiscriminately targeting Somali villagers. The villagers where able to repel the cross border raid with small arms forcing the invading Oromo Militants to retreat in the direct of Jinicsani, which is an Oromo occupied Somali border town, situated 20 kilometers away.
One villager was wounded during the skirmish. Local contacts have obtained the name of the victim, which is listed below.

The strategic Somali border town of Tuliguuleed has been relentlessly besieged by Oromo paramilitary forces and allied militias over the past 4 years, with hundreds killed and thousands more displaced. What makes this more disturbing besides the violence is the utter silence and disregard from the authorities in Jigjiga – capital of the Ogaden.
Tuliguuleed is situated only 25 kilometers away from Jigjiga, which is literally a balcony’s view from the presidential palace yet the pseudo president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) and his administration continue to turn a blind eye. The careless of the criminal junta in Jigjiga has led to deaths of countless, with many more languishing in despair.
