Two Somalis where gunned down overnight as a result of a brazen cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Tuliguuleed in Fafaan province according to residents.

Local contacts reveal heavily armed Oromo militiamen launched an assault on the rural village of Sandacaare, situated just several kilometres outside Tuliguuleed. The late night assault on Sandacaare was followed by a bloody siege.

Following the cross border attack on the Somali village of Sandacaare, the Oromo militiamen withdrew from the area. However once the smoke cleared dozens of homes in Sandacaare where left riddled in bullets as two bodies layed on the ground in a pool of blood.

Local sources have identified the victims as a male and a female that where mercilessly gunned down in the midst of the cross border raid.

Listed below are the names of the victims.

  • Xawa Aw Yusuf
  • Adan Osman Barud

The violent attack on Somali inhabited villages adjacent to Tuliguuleed just comes a day after a similar incident when Oromo bandits gunned down a young Somali in the nearby border town of Jinicasani, situated 20 kilometers away.

Since 2016 Somalis living in the border region of the Ogaden have been subject to relentless massacres at the hands of fanatical right wing Oromo paramilitaries and allied militias.

This brutal campaign of terror has been both condoned and covered up by the Ethiopian regime while the world falls on deaf ears.
