UPDATE
Local contacts based in the Lower Shabelle province have been able to confirm the identity of the victim. Whats more surprising is that the death tole has increased to a total of two as a result of the botch US led night raid. Sources have identified the elderly victim as Xassan Cuuke, a native of El Buur town in Central Somalia yet worked at a farming village in the Lower Shabelle province.
Xassan Cuuke is said to be from the Mursude clan, which inhabits central Somalia and maintains a strong presence in Mogadishu’s Daynille district. Ironically the victim hails from the same clan as the current Somali prime minister Hassan Ali Khayre. The second victim has been identified as young men that worked as an assistant to the late Xassan Cuuke. He also was mowed down in a hail of bullets during the night raid.
The younger victims name still remains sketchy. Therefore, the Halgan Media service has decided not to publish any further information on the victim. However the eight civilians that where abducted by the joint unit of Somali and US special forces during the night raid still remain unaccounted for.
