Confirmed reports received from the Ogaden reveal clashes erupted tonight in the Somali border town of Tuliguuleed in Fafaan province.
Local residents that spoke with Halgan Media on condition on anonymity reveal the clashes erupted as a result of a cross border raid. Eyewitnesses confirm armed militia fighters from the neighboring Oromo regional besieged Tuliguuleed in the middle of the night.
The cross border raid sparked fierce clashes between local Somalis and heavily armed Oromo militants as revealed by eyewitnesses. One Somali was killed in a hail of bullets as a result of the intense fighting that ensued as a result of the cross border raid.
Local contacts have identified the victim as Muhidiin Abdi Mire, a resident from the nearby village of Godane situated on the outskirts of Tuliguuleed.
Following the cross border raid, the Oromo militias withdrew from the vicinity of the clashes in the direction of the Oromo occupied Somali border town of Jinicsani, which is a mere 20 kilometers away from Tuliguuleed.
